R.I.S.E. College is a Special Assistance School for young people in years 11 and 12 who are disengaged from, or disadvantaged within, mainstream education. We're founded by CoAct, a community services organisation with deep roots in supporting young Australians to thrive.
R.I.S.E. stands for Resilience, Identity, Skills and Engagement. These aren't just words on a wall: they're the framework for everything we do, how we teach, how we support students and how we measure success.
We're located in Woolloongabba, Brisbane, and we're set to open in 2027, with a target launch date of January 27.
Our Foundation Principal and Foundation Business Manager are in place. We're now hiring the teachers who'll open the college with them.
We're recruiting experienced secondary teachers for our foundation team. You'll start in Term 1, 2027, with a full term to prepare, shape how we teach and set the culture before students arrive in Term 2.
You'll need a recognised teaching qualification and current QCT registration. Senior secondary experience is highly regarded. Experience in alternative or specialist settings helps but isn't essential.
